Brookings Arts Council | 46th Annual Photography Exhibition

All photographers ages 14 and up residing in South Dakota or living within a 150 mile radius from Brookings, South Dakota are eligible to enter this exhibition. While we intend to include all pieces submitted, the Brookings Arts Council reserves the right to decline to exhibit any piece due to inability to hang, due to the nature of the subject, or the professionalism of the artist.

Brookings Arts Council | Call for 2026 Show Proposals

The Brookings Arts Council seeks proposals for individual or group art shows for calendar year 2026. Proposals from independent artists and proposals for curated group and/or themed exhibitions containing original artwork are welcome. All proposals will be reviewed by the BAC Exhibition Committee whose decisions will be final.

Midwest Nice | Nice Art Grant
Aberdeen, SD based

The Nice Art Grant is an artist grant provided by Midwest Nice Art. Nice Grant is an unrestricted grant of $500 that supports emerging and mid-career artists. This annual grant is due January 20; each cycle, at least two artists will be selected to enhance their creative practices. This grant will be juried by Midwest Nice Art co-founders Tim Rickett + Epiphany Knedler. Winners will be asked to help jury Nice Grant in the following year. Winners will receive unrestricted grant funds, a blog profiling their art and creative practice, a post pinned to our profile, and consideration for future jurying and curatorial opportunities.

From ancient offerings to modern-day gestures of appreciation, Giving Thanks invites visitors to reflect on the beauty of gratitude and its ability to connect us to one another, to nature, and to the world around us.

NOW Art Nationwide Community Mural Program

NOW Art is actively seeking artists nationwide to design unique and original mural compositions for community-focused programs. These public facing projects are in partnership with corporations. Each mural is delivered as digital compositions or scanned high-resolution traditionally created artwork files. Approved artwork images will be printed on high quality vinyl, enlarged and adhered professionally in site specific locations.
